Sunday Favorites

Over at Happy To Design Shari hosts Sunday Favorites.
You post one of your favorites that you have written.
I have not been doing this whole blog thing for long, but it still sounded like fun:)
So here goes...............

So In Love
7/30/09
For those of you who are married you know how it can be..................fill in the blank : hard? trying? frustrating? confusing? easy? secure? loving? wonderful? blissful?
It can change from day to day , hour to hour, second..............well you get the drift.
I am a blessed mama! I have a great husband.
But I can pick the exact best two days of our relationship. August 4th 2007 pictured above.
And May 13th 2009, below.

That's right the births of our two girls, Sinclair June and Riette Adeline.

Some women hate their husbands on "labor day". Mine really shined on those days, It wasn't so much how attentive he was during labor, although he was very. It was the sheer joy on his face after the girls were born. He just walked around on a cloud just so happy to be a daddy.
Recently when I was in Labor with Riette I wondered if it would happen again. Would Matt turn into glowing, unbelievably proud super dad again. I only wondered for a second, because after she popped out (and I literally mean popped out)he was again smitten.

Thanks Matt for making the girls birth days the best days of my life.

  2. This was a sweet one! My husband was traumatized and disturbed... but he was deliriously happy (after he stopped being terrified I (when I hemorrhaged with Ben) or Catherine (when she wasn't breathing) was going to die. Praise God for supportive and loving hubbies!

  3. How sweet is this post? You are one lucky lady. And by the way - what's the secret to looking so good after delivering? LOL You look great in the picture.

  4. Ohhh, your post brought tears to my eyes. My dear husband reacted much the same as yours. He did almost faint after the birth of one of the girls though. (He stills says it's because he was really hungry), but I don't know...;o).

    Blessings!
    Deborah

  6. What a great memory. I must confess I have "no clue" if my husband looked precious or not the day the kids were born. You are right--he is just beaming with joy! Praise the Lord!
